Dear Friend

 

It is just a month since we last sent you news and a lot has happened since….

 

Renting the house

A huge, huge praise – a family who used to attend our church, West Hills Community here in Morgan Hill, are moving back into town and want a house to rent!  We found each other ‘coincidentally’ and we are delighted that the house suits them and that we will have a Christian family in it to take care of it.  Having had a couple of nightmares when we were renting out our old house in the UK, we are very relieved and very grateful.  We asked you to pray for great tenants and that prayer was answered quickly and abundantly!

We will have a few weeks between moving out and leaving town but will use that opportunity to see friends here and out of state as well as having a few days to enjoy as a family – especially going to the beach while we can, Zambia is a land locked country…

School

The children have definitely got places for the next school year which starts in August and this time we were able to wire the money without any problems – another reason for us to be thankful.

 

Timing

We now have definite flight dates – we will be leaving California on July 10th and will be spending around five weeks there visiting friends and family and depart for Zambia on August 15th.  At the moment we are trying to finalise our plans as to ‘where we will be when’ both during the few weeks leading up to our flight to the UK and for our time there.  Dear friends of ours who we know from our university days are kindly lending us their house for the first two weeks of August and we will be traveling around before that.

 

What we are up to now?

A lot of our time is being spent packing and getting all those little things done around the house that you never normally get round to!  Graham is now on reduced hours, so that is great, as we have about five weeks now before we leave the house.  We still have our immigration paperwork to do and we also need to do all the normal moving house stuff like address changes and all that fun stuff.

 

Prayer requests

  • For all the administrative matters that we need to deal with to go well
  • For the children – that their anxieties will be calmed and that God will be very real to them
  • Support- for all our financial needs to come in, especially that the churches we are speaking to would support us
  • Immigration –please pray that the permit application process will go smoothly
