Who Are The Melville's

The Melville family are British, but have lived in Morgan Hill, California for the last six years. Graham and Sarah have been married for 19 years and have two children, Philip aged ten, and Rachel aged seven. They were are actively involved in West Hills Community Church teaching Sunday school, leading Bible studies and Graham has been enrolled in the Spurgeonís teaching center for three years, taking the survey of the Bible course which just finished.†

Previously they were involved in Wycliffe Baptist Church in Reading, England teaching the youth, discipleship programs, marriage courses and leading cell groups. Graham also served as an Elder and for a while as chairman of the leadership council.

After more than 20 years in secular work, the move from England to America gave them a sense that God had something different for them. After much seeking they felt the call to serve as missionaries and feel led to Zambia, Africa where Graham will work on the pastorís teaching and discipleship program and Sarah will use her administrative skills to help in the office. They also hope for opportunities to work with the street children. Their Church has a number of missionaries with ACTION International Ministries, so going to Zambia with ACTION Zambia was a natural choice.

They are evangelical Christians and the best way to sum up what they believe is to read the Apostles Creed or John Pipers mission statement.

Family Verse - (Josh 24:15 NIV) But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."
